The Diamonds- Chapter 6

Two men were sitting in a café. Their personalities were in such contrast that it was hard to imagine that they were acquainted with each other. One of the men was tall and tough with a fit body and a clean-shaven face, while the other was of a humble physique but was the possessor of some strength nonetheless, there were large spectacles on his eyes, and he had a full black beard which appeared quite rough, like his hair.
These two men were not friends. Far from it. But their association was quite atypical, they were not fond of each other, at all. The man with the beard knew everything about the clean-shaven guy, but the ripped one had only a few pieces of information about the man who was seated in front of him. Both of them needed the assistance of the other and this circumstance resulted in an uncomfortable air around the men.
The tall man, Calvin Hughes, said, “There is no going back now, are you sure about the plan?”
“Yes, I am and do not ask me that question again,” replied Oliver with a pronounced British accent.
“Fine! I’m just saying,” replied Calvin “So the next step is to further communicate, correct?”
“Yes, how do you suggest we do that?” asked Oliver.
“Same as before?”
“No, they will be alert this time, we take no risks.”
“Then how?”
Oliver was silent. A minute passed, then two, finally he said, “I have an idea, it’s quite simple, I’ll just need my computer.”
Calvin nodded as if he understood, then withdrawing an envelope from his bag, he said, “This is everything you asked for.”
Oliver took the envelope from Calvin’s hand and examined its contents with a smile. Till now, everything was going according to plan and his plan was not simple nor was it humble. They had stolen Les morceaux de lumière, and that was just the beginning.
